Heavy duty scooters are built to carry up to 500 lbs. They have larger motors and batteries and in general, can go longer distances between charges and travel at faster speeds. Most heavy duty, bariatric, large scooters only come with four wheels, however, a few such as Pioneer 9 from Merits and EW-37 made by EWheels are available with three wheels.
These scooters also has bigger tires for more stability, and a higher ground clearance which is helpful over rough terrain. Almost all heavy duty scooters have air filled tires and full suspension for a very comfortable ride. These are the most costly scooters.
